About The Young Men’s Resilience Programme
Built in the Classroom, Not the Clinic
Our Mission to Support Modern Young Men
The Young Men’s Resilience Programme was born from a simple observation in UK schools: Academic success is built on a foundation of emotional stability.
Our Mission
To equip young men in London with the psychological resilience, focus, and self-mastery required to navigate the high-pressure transition from adolescence to adulthood and beyond. We believe that with the right practical tools, every student can transform exam stress into peak performance and digital distraction into disciplined focus.
Founder’s Statement
"Practicality over Theory. Results over Rhetoric."
The Young Men’s Resilience Programme was born on the front lines of London education. My methodology was forged in the classrooms and corridors of Newman Catholic College in North-West London, working directly with students who were navigating the intense pressures of GCSEs, A-Levels, and the complexities of modern city life.
I realized very quickly that teenage boys don’t need more "theory" or vague advice about "wellbeing." They need a high-leverage toolkit they can use the moment they walk out of the room.
Whether it’s managing the physiological "spike" of exam anxiety or reclaiming their attention from a smartphone, I provide the grounded, no-nonsense strategies that actually resonate with young men. Today, we are proud to partner with schools and families across West and North-West London, delivering a programme that isn't just about "getting through" school - it’s about building the character and resilience to succeed in life.

Meet Johnathon Martin: Founder & Lead Mentor
A Journey of Resilience, Transformation, and Experience
I don’t just teach resilience; I’ve lived it. My path to founding Young Men’s Resilience London wasn't a straight line - it was forged through the high-stakes world of professional sales, the discipline of entrepreneurship, and the deep introspection of a long-standing yoga and personal development practice.
I’ve travelled the world, run businesses, navigated the complexities of marriage, divorce, and the greatest challenge of all: raising two children. Currently based in Kensal Rise, NW10, I bring the perspective of a man who has seen the highs and lows of life and emerged with the tools to help the next generation do the same.
Professional Expertise & Mentorship
With years of experience as a transformation coach and yoga teacher, I have dedicated my career to understanding the mechanics of the human mind and body. This passion for growth led me to author several books (available on Amazon and Kindle) focused on self-leadership and mindset.
My commitment to the young men of West and North-West London is rooted in professional, boots-on-the-ground experience:
* The Promise Foundation: Served as a dedicated mentor, guiding students through pivotal life transitions.
* Newman Catholic College: Employed professionally to lead workshops for groups of up to 25 young men (aged 15–18).
* A Proven Track Record: Years of coaching individuals and groups to move past "stuck" states and into a place of clarity and action.
Why I Do This
I love mentoring especially young men because I used to be one; I find them incredibly open and hungry for guidance. When they realize that the advice we share is a practical toolkit for their own success and happiness, their potential really opens up.
I believe that 15 to 18 is a most critical window in a man’s life. My mission is to provide the "Digital Discipline," "Social Resilience," "Exam Mindset," and ''Valuable Life Guidance'' that schools often don't have the time to teach, but that life absolutely requires.
